Psychological safety is the belief that you are respected, welcome and valued when you share mistakes, doubts, questions, disagreements and ideas. It is about the quality of collaboration, not about comfort. It is a means to better results, greater wellbeing and stronger learning.

His next book, Psychological Safety in Practice, will be published by Djøf Publishing in 2027. It presents his five-step model, The Five Steps from Shared Task to Effect, developed from twelve years of measurement data.

He has delivered more than 1,000 talks and workshops for over 500 organisations, from boardroom sessions with five people to conferences with 3,500. He has measured psychological safety through more than 15,000 responses in over 150 organisations.
He is the Danish editor of Amy Edmondson’s The Fearless Organization and wrote the foreword to it, as well as to her two most recent books in Danish. He has taught alongside Edmondson in Denmark and abroad, and has trained and certified practitioners in psychological safety for many years.
